Pioneering Turkey’s digital transformation, Türk Telekom donated 10,000 tablets to the Ministry of National Education to support students. The tablets, delivered by Türk Telekom to the Ministry of National Education, will be distributed to students with insufficient socio-economic means through schools. Tablets sent to schools by the Ministry of National Education started to be delivered to students with limited financial means studying at primary, secondary and high school levels.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said: “In the face-to-face education process that we started as of September 6, we provide distance education with live lessons to our students who took a 10-day break from school due to quarantine. During this process, we provide free tablet support to our students in need. 10 thousand tablets donated by Türk Telekom. In this context, we will deliver it to our children. I would like to thank Türk Telekom for their support to education.”
Türk Telekom CEO Ümit Önal, who conveyed his views on the work they started in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education, said, “As Türk Telekom, one of our priority areas in digitizing our country is education. With the start of the 2021-2022 academic year, we have decided to donate 10,000 tablets to the Ministry of National Education, with which we have cooperated in many projects before. In this way, it will be possible for our students with insufficient financial situation to follow their lessons in accordance with technology and do their homework and research comfortably.” he said.
