In the European automobile market, which has shrunk significantly compared to the same period of the previous year, Dacia Sandero’s leadership will continue for a while.
While the market-oriented data for the month of August we left behind continues to show itself, fierce competition continues in the list of Europe’s bestsellers. In August sales, where electric and rechargeable hybrid models outstripped the diesel engine for the first time, a significant decrease is welcome compared to the same period of the previous year. It is among the expectations that the process will become even more difficult for the producers, which have been scorched by the effect of the chip crisis. Dacia Sandero continues to be the leader in automobile sales in Europe, which shrank by more than 30 percent compared to 2019. Volkswagen Golf and Toyota Yaris continue to follow the price/performance oriented model that took the lead in July. On the August list, Duster moves up four places, placing itself behind the top three. It is noteworthy that Fiat 500, which could not find a place in the top 10 in July, entered the list as the sixth. It should be underlined that names such as Volkswagen T-Cross and Peugeot 2008, which were on the list in July, could not enter the top 10 in August.
