OnePlus presented the most advanced flagship model OnePlus 9 Series, which represents an important milestone, to consumers in Turkey. The OnePlus 9 Series draws attention as the first model of a long-term partnership with professional camera manufacturer Hasselblad. OnePlus’ new flagship camera system ‘Hasselblad Camera for Mobile’ brings a host of new features to smartphone photography.
Color is one of the most important factors determining the quality of mobile photography. With the Hasselblad Camera for Mobile feature, OnePlus aimed to bring Hasselblad’s iconic color performance to a smartphone for the first time. The fact that smartphone camera systems work very differently from traditional cameras and Hasselblad’s strict rules for color performance and image processing were significant challenges for both OnePlus and Hasselblad. To achieve this goal, OnePlus and Hasselblad calibrated the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro sensors together and conducted numerous lab tests using Hasselblad’s high color standards. The two companies then worked together to achieve a common understanding of color performance, as well as fine-tuning colors based on the needs and habits of smartphone users.
The OnePlus 9 Series uses Natural Color Calibration with Hasselblad, which has become the new standard in OnePlus’ color calibration, to deliver perceptually more accurate and natural-looking colors in photos taken. The first and foremost result of the long-term partnership between OnePlus and Hasselblad, this new color solution required months of extensive validation by both the Hasselblad and OnePlus research and development teams. An expert group of Hasselblad representatives provided valuable feedback and shared their extensive professional photography experience. This has helped add a new aesthetic to the smartphone camera experience.
The 48MP main camera of the OnePlus 9 Pro has a 1/1.4” sensor and is equipped with an IMX789 sensor specially designed in collaboration with Sony. The result is an imaging capability enabled by leading technologies such as 2×2 lens-on-chip (OCL), 12-bit RAW, dual native ISO and DOL-HDR. The main camera offers faster focus speeds, four times more color information for greater color accuracy, clearer day and night shots, and reduced motion blur in videos.
OnePlus 9 Pro’s 50MP ultra-wide camera uses a 1/1.56” Sony IMX766 sensor, which provides image quality and less grainy results. The Freeform lens uses a series of unique curves to correct incoming light, reducing the edge distortion of photos to around 1%. The ultra-wide-angle camera also allows taking high-quality macro photos with close-range focusing up to 4 cm.
The 8MP telephoto camera on the OnePlus 9 Pro offers 3.3x (77mm) zoom with OIS to reduce blur, and up to 30x in digital zoom. A dedicated monochrome camera works alongside the OnePlus 9 Pro’s main camera, adding detail and layering to black and white photos. A new tilt-shift feature mimics the miniature effect of a tilt-shift lens for more creative photography.
The OnePlus 9 Pro’s main camera has 16 times the pixel count of standard 1080p. It can shoot at 8K 30fps. OnePlus 9 Pro’s ultra-wide camera can also create time-lapse videos while walking.
Let’s come to the new Hasselblad Pro Mod. A new user interface based on Hasselblad’s image processing software has been developed for professional users. It also gives expert photographers control to fine-tune their photos, with the ability to adjust ISO, focus, exposure time, white balance and more. Users can shoot in 64 times more colors in 12-bit RAW compared to the 10-bit RAW traditionally found in other smartphones.
Hasselblad Camera for Mobile on OnePlus 9 uses the same developed color standards as Natural Color Calibration with Hasselblad on OnePlus 9 Pro. The OnePlus 9 uses a 1/1.56” Sony IMX766 sensor and curved Freeform Lens, as well as the 50MP ultra-wide camera on the OnePlus 9 Pro, to minimize edge distortion. The 48MP main camera also stands out with a 1/1.43” Sony IMX689 sensor, 2×2 OCL, 12-bit RAW, dual native ISO and 3-HDR.
The OnePlus 9 Series features a 120Hz Fluent Display 2.0 display. The display features next-generation advanced mobile display technology that integrates low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) technology, backplane technology used in high-end OLED displays, and fast touch response for games. To suit current user scenarios, LTPO technology enables smartphones to automatically adjust the refresh rate of the screen from 120 Hz to 1 Hz, offering significantly lower power consumption. Hyper Touch technology also boosts the sync speed between the processor and display to 360Hz, which is up to six times faster than previous technology, resulting in faster response time when playing certain games.
With DisplayMate A+ rating, OnePlus 9 Pro’s QHD+ display offers 10-bit color depth along with peak brightness of up to 1,300 nits, and features such as E4 light-emitting material, HDR10+, MEMC, automatic color temperature adjustment, front and back ambient light detection. It comes with many more features.
The brightness of the OnePlus 9’s screen can go up to 1,100 nits, and its HDR10+ certification improves the experience of watching HDR videos.
The 5G powered Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 mobile platform features 25% faster performance and 35% faster graphics processing, as well as a new 5nm node size. The OnePlus 9 Series comes with both LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. 1.5 times faster than LPDDR4X, LPDDR5 RAM offers speeds up to 6400 Mbps.
Warp Charge 65T can charge the phone from 1% to 100% in 29 minutes. While reaching these speeds, the OnePlus 9 Series uses a special 4,500 mAh battery with an improved dual-cell design to reduce internal resistance and heating during charging. This allows the smartphone’s battery to last longer and be recharged less frequently.
Warp Charge 50 Wireless is OnePlus’ fastest wireless charging technology ever. The Warp Charge 50 Wireless surpasses most wired fast charging solutions with both battery cells charging at 25W and can charge from 1% to 100% in 43 minutes.

Developed with the OnePlus community to deliver a personalized Android experience, OxygenOS 11 is custom software built on Android 11 on the OnePlus 9 Series. The new Turbo Boost 3.0 memory optimization allows you to keep more than 25% apps open in the background compared to the previous version. OnePlus achieves this thanks to RAM compression and virtual RAM. This feature converts the phone memory to RAM so that more physical memory is available to work with your phone. Pro Gaming Mode unleashes the processor power of the OnePlus 9 Series and blocks app notifications, calls and other distractions so users can fully dock with their favorite mobile games. OnePlus Cool Play, an improved five-layer gaming-grade cooling system, also helps dissipate heat during gameplay.
