VCT Stage 3 EMEA Challengers Playoffs begin

In the 3rd Stage EMEA Challengers Playoffs, the eyes were turned to three better teams that will represent our country.

Six teams from EU, three teams each from CIS and TR will compete in the Stage 3 EMEA Challengers Playoffs, which will start on Thursday, August 12. The top 4 teams from the playoffs will qualify for Masters Berlin, which will not only complete Stage 3 but also the first regular season of VCT.

SuperMassive Blaze became the first team from TR to qualify for the Playoffs with their performance during the Submatches in VCT Challengers Stage 3 1. Main Event and their victory first against Futbolist and then Oxygen. Oxygen Esports, one of the most established teams in the VALORANT scene, came to the finals undefeated in the 1st Main Event and qualified for the EMEA Challengers Playoffs from the second place.

In the 2nd Main Event, after the first match, Fire Flux Esports, which continued its struggle from the Submatches, played a controlled game until the final and managed to put the last ticket of the 3rd Stage EMEA Challengers Playoffs in his pocket to represent our country on the international stage.

EU, which has the highest number of participants among the three regions for the EMEA Playoffs, includes important teams such as Team Liquid, G2 Esports and Acend. At the end of the EMEA Challengers Playoffs between EU, TR and CIS regions, which teams will represent the region at Masters Berlin will be determined.

EMEA Challengers Playoff Format

The Stage 3 EMEA Challengers Playoffs will take place in a double elimination system. Teams will be ranked based on their results at the Main Events in their region. Europe’s #1 and #2, TR and BDR’s #1 teams will start their journey from the Overmatch Round 2, while the remaining 8 teams will play an opening round among themselves to decide whether they will continue from the Bottom or Overmatches. . All other matches will be played in a 3-map match format, while the Submatches Final and Grand Final will follow 5-map series.

VCT Points to Earn Champions Tickets

In the EMEA Challengers Playoffs, teams will face off for €85,000 prize money and VCT Points. Teams that cannot attend Masters Berlin will earn a certain amount of VCT Points, while the top 4 teams will be eligible to take part in the event in September. The winner of Masters 3 will receive an invitation to join VALORANT Champions directly.
