USA-based Apple, which is in competition with companies such as Google and Yandex, has updated its Maps application.
In the statement made by the company, it was stated that with the new update, the driver and passengers will be able to report an accident via the digital assistant Siri.
“This feature is designed to allow drivers to focus on the road without having to use their hands,” the statement said.
To use this feature, simply say one of the following sentences after the ‘Hey Siri’ command:
- There is an accident ahead
- There’s something wrong on the way
- Remove accident/hazard/incident
- The danger has passed
- No more events here
- The accident continues
WHAT DEVICES WILL IT WORK ON?
The feature will be available to iPhone and CarPlay users with iOS 14.5 or later.
